For Books That Are Difficult To Find , Finding Books On-Line Can Be A Valid Option My first exposure to on-line publications was in college. Even though we always had the option to buy text-books in the store, many of the professors put their publications online as well. Doing that would save the pupils money and allow them to access the books from any computer in the college. This meant that you never had to carry around your text-books - a major advantage after a semester of trudging through the snow. At first, I wasn't very into books online. I could not get into it, you see. It just did not feel good to me. I like to be able to unwind with a book, holding it in my hands and flipping the pages. It strains your eyes, calls for you to sit up-right in the same position for hour after hour, and is very hard to flip your way all the way through. I also like audio books on CD, though. After a few years of online book reading, however, I was quite a bit more used to the process, just like I had gotten acclimated to audio books. I had already begun to buy books online for almost every reason. I bought sports books online, text-books online - you think of it. Not only did the web allow me to buy printed books cheaply, but it also let me access many things that were out-of-print. Reading books on-line isn't really that good for contemporary literature that you can buy inside the store. You may as well either buy it or borrow it from the library, or listen to it, with books on cd. The awesome thing about publications online, however, is that you can often find very old ones with only a little trouble. Resources such as Project Gutenberg permit you to get into the great classics of writing from all places and times all over the world. As long as it's no longer copy protected, you can legally put the book on-line. Of course, the area where books on-line have the best benefit of all is with audio publications. The great thing about audio books online is that it is so much more convenient than having to borrow them from the library or go to an audio publication shop. Instead, you can simply download them to your computer and listen to them at your convenience. If you want to take them with you, you can place them on an iPod or put them on CD.
